“Slow and steady wins the race.”
Well, I don’t know who believes that anymore because society sure doesn’t praise this saying.
We have been so conformed to look for the finish line that we forget that the beauty in winning is the process it took to get us there. The challenges we’ve faced along the way and have overcome, 100% prepared us for our victory. Every single step you take towards your goal is one less step you have to take to complete it.

It’s difficult to see life’s progress if it’s fueled by the wrong energy, and ‘Perfection’ is one of them. I personally believe that this is a set up for disappointment, like really. Absolutely, nobody is perfect, so we need to stop seeking it in others and in ourselves. This is a continuous process that I deal with every day. I am a ‘Perfectionist,” and I will get it done by any means necessary even if I have to block out the world to do so- and this is what ends up happening. I block out the world and become laser focus on that one thing I am trying to complete and forget about life itself. The bad thing is if things don’t work out the way I want it to, I completely fall apart and frustrate myself to eternity and start attacking myself when I should be praising myself for attempting.
I overlook the process, which is the progress, as many others do as well.
There is no reason why you should beat yourself up over something you have absolutely no control over. We are so quick to feel dishearten after one failure, not realizing that this is the process of life. Past experiences, whether good or bad, pains, wins, losses and betrayal are meant to evolve us not keep us down. ‘Let it go.’

Figuring out “Life” is not an overnight process, and everybody’s road is built differently. What may take me a year to achieve may take a shorter or longer time for another person. It doesn’t mean that I am less competent or smarter than the other; it just means that my process is moving in a different direction and my progress at a different pace from everyone else, which it should because it is not catered to them..its catered for me.
Our lives are a collection of good and bad days, nobody is exempt from it. We are passengers of this material world, and each one of us is carrying his/her own baggage. Sometimes, it weighs us down to the point where we can’t handle it, and sometimes we can, but always remember that this is only for a time. Eventually, we take our bags to get checked in at the counter.
We are blessed in so many ways but sometimes, yet ungrateful.
There is so much dust on our mirror that our vision is unclear. We need to stock up on some Windex.

Take in every moment on your road to success, they are your lessons, your reminders, your ah-ha’s, your tears and ur similes, put them in your pocket and pay it forward when it’s due. By just starting, you have made progress.
